The hydraulic work asphalt takes low-wax and naphthene-base crude as raw material. The product features low wax, excellent anti-seepage performance, moderate composition and low brittle point. It has been successfully used in the large-scale (type 1) Class-I project - Shandong Yimeng Pumped Storage Power Station Upper Storage Reservoir Project. On October 31, 2021, the first No.1 and No.2 units of Shandong Yimeng Pumped Storage Power Station were connected to improve the peak-shaving capacity of Shandong power grid by 600,000kW. News 30’ on China Central Television reported the connection.
The connection and operation of all four units will contribute to better peak-shaving capacity, power storage, and power supply at peak, saving 88,200 tons of standard coal, reducing 296,700 tons of carbon dioxide emissions and 2,000 tons of sulfur dioxide emissions on a yearly basis. It will also play an active role in strengthening the regulation capacity of Shandong power grid, promoting energy transformation and achieving carbon peak & carbon neutrality, thus enabling “green power” grid connection in Shandong Province. Shandong Haiyun Asphalt Co., Ltd. has become the first private company in the industry with engineering application achievements. Evaluated by Shandong Society of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, the technical achievements of the hydraulic work asphalt have reached the international advanced level.
